Simona Halep might secure impressive USD 1 M bonus from WTA

Simona Halep (6 WTA) has confirmed she will take part in the Premier 5 and Premier Mandatory Tours from Wuhan, September 22-29 and the one in Beijing, September 30-October 6, which means she can receive a total bonus of USD 1 million from WTA.

The WTA rules say the players in the top ten who take part in all Premier Mandatory tours and in all five Premier 5 competitions during one year will receive a money prize, according to their position in the ranking.

Therefore, in case Halep will end 2019 as no 1 again, WTA will reward the Romanian tennis player with a USD 1 M bonus. If she keeps the current position, no 6, Halep will get USD 350,000.

The four premier mandatory tours are Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid and Beijing, while Premier 5 ones are playing in Dubai, Rome, Toronto, Cincinnati and Wuhan.

Simona Halep has reached total revenues worth USD 33,421,946 from tennis in her entire career so far, WTA Tennis informs.
