5th WTA tennis player Simona Halep has started earlier the training for the Indian Wells tournament due March 7th-20th. She left for USA last weekend, while on Tuesday she trained on the same court with Steffi Graf-Andre Agassi couple.

Former world champions, Agassi and Graff are married for 15 years. They came on the Las Vegas tennis court, Nevada and stayed there during Simona’s training session, while counselling her from the line.

Halep’s personal coach, Australian Darren Cahill, was the mastermind of this encounter, based on his excellent relationship with Andre Agassi, whom he trained from 2002 to 2006.

Simona Halep won her biggest title at Indian Wells last year, after succeeding to outlast Jelena Jankovic for the 11th and biggest WTA title of her career at the BNP Paribas Open and the No.1 spot on the Road To Singapore leaderboard.

Overcoming an apparent foot injury, a faulty serve and a former champion, Halep rallied from a set down to defeat 2010 winner Jelena Jankovic 2-6, 7-5, 6-4 in a gutsy performance. “I don’t know how I won today because I didn’t play my best,” the Romanian tennis player used to say after her major success in 2015.  “I didn’t play good tennis, but I just wanted to fight till the end because I think that is the most important thing for my style, for myself.”
