Sorina Hulpan wins bronze medal at the Tokyo Junior World Weightlifting Championships

Romanian weightlifter Sorina Hulpan has won the bronze medal on Monday, at the 63 kg category at the Tokyo Junior World Weightlifting Championships.

Hulpan totalled 213 kg, the same as Madeleine Isabel Myers (US), who was ranked fourth. The first two positions were occupied by Chinese Ting Huang, 239 kg, and Xiaojing Zhou, 236 kg.

Sorina Hulpan took the 4th place in the snatch style with 93kg after two failed attempts at 97kg and the 5th place at clean and jerk with 120kg, failing to lift123kg.

Romania, which participated with four athletes in the competition, finishes the junior championships with two bronze medals, the first being won on Sunday by Paul Dumitraşcu, at the 69 kg category clean and jerk.
