Spectators are expected on the route to enjoy the race and support the cyclists registered for l’Étape Romania by Tour de France

On August 27, Bucharest will host L’Étape Romania by Tour de France. The race is SOLD OUT, on all three routes, but everyone is expected on the routes to support the participants from the sidelines and enjoy the festival atmosphere, right in the center of Bucharest.

The Participation Guide has also been published and all race entrants must consult it before participating. Those who did not manage to register for this edition are expected to reserve a place for next year’s edition in the pre-registration stage, which will become available immediately after the end of the event.

The event will block important arteries of the capital starting at 7:00 in the morning and they will be returned to traffic after 2:00 p.m.Bd. Unirii, Bd. Mircea Vodă, Splaiul Unirii on the direction to Bucharest, Bd. Decebal, Bd. Basarabia, Calea Victoriei, Bd. Regina Elisabeta, Bd. Schitu Măgureanu, Străzile Știrbei Vodă and Ion Câmpineanu, Kiseleff Road, Buzești Streets, Berzei, V. Pârvan. BP Hasdeu and Bd. Libertății.

For the second year, Romania is on the international map of the prestigious L’Étape event, offering the more than 2,000 competitors expected at the start the unique experience of the champions right at home: a traffic-free capital, three exceptional routes, the highest standards of organization and a festive atmosphere that celebrates sport and belonging, with participants usually signed up as a team or supported by family, friends, colleagues.

The program of the August 27 event, actions and activities in the Race Village located in Piata Constituției:

• 08:00 – those registered for the 14 km City Adventure route will start from the Palace of Parliament area;

• 09:00 – those registered for The Ride, 42 km and The Race, 85 km, will start the race;

• 13:00 End of the race / Complete closure of the route;

• 13:30 – the awards ceremony in the Race Village when activities and surprises are planned for both competitors and visitors.
