Tennis: Irina Begu, Andreea Mitu in the last sixteen round in Charleston

Romanian tennis player Irina Begu (photo) has qualified on Wednesday for the last sixteen stage of the WTA tournament in Charleston (South Carolina), with prizes of USD 731,000 after defeating Kazakh Yaroslava Shvedova, 6-0 6-7 (4) 6-4. Begu is to play in the next round against the Russian Ekaterina Makarova (26 years), the second favourite.
Romanian tennis player Andreea Mitu (107th WTA) has also qualified for the last sixteen round after a surprising victory 6-2, 6-2 against Croatian Ajla Tomljanovic. In the round will face Madison Keys (U.S.).
