Tennis: Simona Halep – 56th week on top of WTA rankings

Romanian tennis player, Simona Halep, is for the 56th week on top of the WTA rankings, according to the latest release on Monday.

Halep is on the 10th position in the all-time standings, but by the end of the year she would get closer to the ninth position (71 weeks) on which is Caroline Wozniacki.

Romania has six tennis players in top 100, as Monica Niculescu has climbed one position to the 100th. Ana Bogdan has also climbed two positions, up to the 76th.
