Tennis: Simona Halep falls to 8th WTA position, Roland Garros winner Ashleigh Barty climbs to 2nd

The WTA rankings released on Monday after the Roland Garros Grand Slam shows that Romanian tennis player has Simona Halep has fallen to the 8th position, down from 3rd, while the French Open winner Ashleigh Barty has climbed to the 2nd position.

On the top position is still Naomi Osaka.

Mihela Buzarnescu has also lost seven positions and is now on the 40th, while Sorana Cirstea has climbed to the 77th. The other Romanian women tennis players are out of the Top 100.
