Tennis: Simona Halep – thrilled five days before the Fed Cup semi-final against France
Romanian tennis player Simona Halep has sought advice from manager Virginia Ruzici, who played the last time Romania reached the Fed Cup semifinals, ahead of her nation’s crunch tie with France, fedcup.com informs, quoted by the Romanian media.
Halep, 27, 2nd WTA, says she talked with Virginia Ruzici, 64, her manager, about the coming match against France, in Rouen, in the Fed Cup semi-finals.
Ruzici played in 1976 against France, an encounter won by Romania. Halep said she asked Ruzici about the experience.
Five days before the France vs. Romania semi-final, Simona Halep says she feels the pressure and the thrill.
I am very excited and looking forward to the tie. I want to win, to win both my matches and help the team. The match will be tough, the opponents are tough and strong in the doubles. I will focus just on myself, Halep said.
