Tennis: Tecau and Rojer, through to the semi-finals in Shanghai

The pair made up by Romanian tennis player Horia Tecau and Dutchman Jean-Julien Rojer has qualified on Friday to the semi-finals of the doubles event at the Masters 1,000 ATP tournament in Shanghai (China) with total prizes of USD 5,924,890 after defeating Oliver Marach (Austria) / Mate Pavic (Croatia) 7-6 (6), 6-4.
Tecau and Rojer, 3rd favourites, won in hour and 22 minutes.
The Romanian-Dutch pair secured a cheque of USD 86,460 and 360 ATP points.
In the next stage, Tecău and Rojer’s opponents will be Lukasz Kubot (Poland) / Marcelo Melo (Brazil /2nd favourites).
Tecau and Rojer have secured the qualification at the Champions Tournament.
