Low starter salary

Your first job within a casino may start on a pretty low salary, while you may also have to start at the bottom in terms of the casino itself too. You always have to be switched on

There’s no down time when you’re on a shift. While in office jobs you can perhaps spend an hour looking at Twitter, when on the casino floor you have to be continually happy and positive, continually engaging and always helpful. Which can be exhausting, although there are ways you can try and maintain happiness at work.

Sore losers

Naturally, with money on the line, there can be an element of sore losing among some customers, and while usually security will come and deal with them quite swiftly, you may sometimes find yourself vulnerable or under threat of abuse. Thankfully, this is a relatively rare occurrence.
