Two new gold medals, one silver at World Rowing U-23 Championships

Romania has won on Sunday two gold medals at the World Rowing U-23 Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria – in the Men’s Pair (BM2-) and the Lightweight Women’s Double Sculls (BLW2x) events – and a silver medal – in the Men’s Eight (BM8+) event.

In the Men’s Pair (BM2-) final, Mihaita-Vasile Tiganescu and Cosmin Pascari clocked in at 06:31.790, followed by The French team at 06:33.490, Agerpres informs.

In the Lightweight Women’s Double Sculls (BLW2x) final, Ionela-Livia Lehaci and Gianina-Elena Beleaga finished in 07:01.240, followed by Italy’s team (07:02.320).

In the Men’s Eight (BM8+) final, Cristian Ivascu, Alexandru Matinca, Alexandru-Cosmin Macovei, Constantin Adam, Constantin Radu, Sergiu-Vasile Bejan, Gheorghe-Robert Dedu, Ciprian Tudosa and Adrian Munteanu finished second, having clocked in at 05:31.570, behind the Dutch team’s 05:29.550, and ahead Great Britain’s 05:32.640.
