UEFA fines CFR Cluj EUR 200,000 for failure to comply with Financial Fair-Play regulations

CFR Cluj, Romanian football champions, have been fined EUR 200,000 by the UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB), for failing to comply with the Financial Fair-Play regulations, a release posted on the website and quoted by hotnews.ro reads.

The understanding between CFR Cluj and the UEFA Body includes, besides the payment of EUR 200,000 from the amounts collected from participating to the European cups, the cut in number of players for European cups from 25 to 23 (on list A) for the season 2019-2020, with CFR Cluj being monitored.

Understandings have signed also Olympique Marseille and FK Kairat Almaty, and previously the clubs of Galatasaray Istanbul, Maccabi Tel Aviv and FC Porto have concluded similar documents.
