Update, handball: Romania women’s team takes silver at the World University Championship. Men’s team plays the final on Sunday

The women’s handball team of Romania has won the silver medal of the World University Championship in Malaga (Spain), after being defeated by Spain 20-14 (10-7) in the final on Saturday.

In the semi-finals Romania defeated Russia 21-18 (10-12), while Spain defeated Poland 21-19.

Romania and Spain played in the same group, Romania won the match 20-19.

The men’s team of Romania qualified on Saturday to the final of the same competition, after defeating Spain 29-26. In the final on Sunday, Romania will face the winner between Korea and Japan.
