Women’s handball, Champions League: CSM Bucharest defeats Rostov on Don 26-25

Women’s handball team CSM Bucharest defeated Russian team Rostov on Don 26-25 (11-12) Thursday night at the Polyvalent Hall in Bucharest in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals.

CSMB has succeeded in bringing the first defeat of the Russian team, which had a balance of nine wins and one draw in the ten matches held in the two group stages.

Romanian champions are unlikely to qualify for the Final Four tournament, although it had at some point four goals ahead.

The return match will take place on April 9 in Rostov.
