Women’s handball: Romania defeats Portugal to top qualifying Group 4 for EC

The women’s national handball team of Romania defeated Portugal 32-28 (19-13) on Sunday, in Buzau, to win qualifying Group 4 for the European Championship this year in France.

Romania was already qualified after defeating Austria last week 28-25 (13-11) in Innsbruck.

Attendance: 2,000.

In the other match in Group 4 on Sunday, Russia defeated Austria 26-25.

Romania tops group 4 with 10 points, followed by Olympic champions Russia – 8 points, Asutria – 6, Portugal – 0.
