Romania’s rugby representative started with the right the World Rugby Nations Cup 2015 with a clear victory over Spain 35-9 (25-6) on Friday evening, at National Stadium in Arcul de Triumf in Bucharest.

Viorel Lucaci was the man of the match, with two touchdowns, the other points of the ‘oaks’ being scored by Florin Vlaicu (six penalty kicks and a conversion), Catalin Fercu (penalty) and Danut Dumbrava.

It should be noted the debut in the Romanian team of South African Jody Rose.

In the first match on Friday, Argentina Jaguars defeated Namibia 30-10 (17-10).

In the second stage of the competition, on June 17, Argentina Jaguars face Spain (17.00h) and Romania is to play against Namibia (20.00h).
