WTA rankings: Halep on top, Buzarnescu – best position ever
Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has announced on Monday the new world rankings following the results of the past two weeks.
Simona Halep is ranked first in the world hierarchy, Mihaela Buzarnescu climbs to the best position of her career – 25th in the world, up three positions against the hierarchy two weeks ago.
Irina Begu has fallen six positions to 42nd, Sorana Cirstea – down 5 positions to 56th.
Monica Niculescu remains on 61st, and Ana Bogdan falls 9 positions to 68th.
Mihaela Buzarnescu, Irina Begu, Sorana Cirstea and Ana Bogdan are playing this week in the BRD Bucharest Open.
