The fourth edition of Spotlight Bucharest International Light Festival is kicking off in the Romanian Capital, Thursday, April 12, with an impressive show performed by two international troupes in George Enescu Square.
The festival is opened by the high-tech dancer band Light Balance from Ukraine, which will present an elaborated dance and light show that has already made a splash in UK, Germany, South Korea, Saudi Arabia and China.
Light Balance are followed by the show of the British drummers Spark!, ARCUB informs.
The light installations can be admired on the main route from the Central University Library and Splaiul Independentei. As a first, several strategic locations have been included on the Spotlight route this year: The Arch of Triumph, the “Grigore Antipa” National Natural History Museum, Stirbei Palace, the Romanian Athenaeum, the Interior Ministry building, Universitatii Square, the Bucharest National Theatre and the Bucharest City Hall.
Car traffic will be restricted on several boulevards during April 12-15, from 20:00 to 23:00hr: on Victoriei Avenue, from C.A. Rosetti street and Regina Elisabeta Blvd, as well as on Splaiul Independentei.
Traffic police inform drivers they can go on surface streets like: Lascar Catargiu Blvd-Gheorge Magheru Blvd –Nicolae Bălcescu Blvd –I.C. Brătianu Blvd or Buzeşti street –Berzei st. –Vasile Pârvan st. – Splaiul Independenţei.
