The National Investment Company (CNI) has announced the inauguration of the stadium in Turnu Magurele, Teleorman County, on which the team controlled by the son of Liviu Dragnea, head of the PSD, will play, gsp.ro informs.
According to CNI, the stadium’s costs amount to EUR 3 million, it has 2,000 seats and facilities up to UEFA standards, under-ground heating for the pitch, night-time lighting and training centre, physical recovery facilities and dining facilities.
The team to enjoy this arena is Voinţa Turnu Magurele, 2nd place in the 3rd Series of the 3rd League, controlled by Valentin Dragnea, the son of the PSD chairman. The club played at home so far at Sacelele this season, the village where Liviu Dragnea grew up as a child, according to gsp.ro.
ACSF Voinţa Turnu Măgurele, having former Steaua player Vali Badea as manager, is no longer likely to promote this season, as Petrolul Ploiesti has won the series.
The construction of the stadium began in the summer of 2015, it was on standstill until the summer of 2017, when the works resumed.
Valentin Dragnea, the son of PSD chairman, has granted large amounts of money to the club’s accounts since the 2016-2017 season, when the team promoted from L4 Teleorman to the former Division C.
The three companies that granted money during the promotion season were:
– Zooveg 2010 SA, which paid more than EUR 1,000 per month (RON 5,000);
– Gransiloz SA, a similar amount, RON 5,000 per month;
– Interfrigo Logistics SA, almost EUR 3,500, RON 15,200, one transfer in December 2016.
