Stericycle Romania, one of the important local companies in the management of hazardous waste generated by the medical, pharmaceutical, veterinary and industrial sectors, invests EUR 1 million in sterilization equipment for hazardous medical waste in its unit in Jilava, Ilfov County.
Stericycle is present in the main regions of the country and has both processing technologies agreed at European level to neutralize and safely dispose of hazardous waste: organic incineration and sterilization.
The total investment planned by Stericycle Romania for 2017 will amount to EUR 1.5 million.
Stericycle Romania achieved a turnover of EUR 10.4 million last year and an operating profit of EUR 733,000.
In the first six months of 2017, the company reached a turnover of EUR 5.5 million, with operational profit of EUR 489,000. Overall, Stericycle Romania processed 10,700 tons of hazardous and non-hazardous waste last year.
Stericycle Romania expertise is sought by both large corporations as well as small and medium enterprises, in the context of an increased number of legislative provisions and the strengthening of quality and compliance checks.
