Temperatures to drop sharply, snowfall during the coming weekend

The temperatures will drop in all regions of the country and during the weekend snowfall is expected, the meteorologists informs.

On Thursday the temperatures will fall in most of Romania, with levels of -4 degrees Celsius in depressions and of 5 degrees C in the Danube plains. Snowfall is expected in Transylvania and in the mountains with possible snow also in the south-east. Strong winds in the south-east.

Temperatures will continue to drop in the first part of the weekend, with highs below zero degrees Celsius countrywide. Nights will become frosty in central and northern Romania. As of Saturday it will snow in central, western, northern and mountainous regions. On Sunday snowfall is expected throughout the country, with strong winds in the western regions and in the mountains.

In Bucharest: cloudy skies with no more than 4 degrees C at mid-day. Snowfall and temperatures below zero are expected in the second part of the weekend. Until then the highs will reach 1C. During the night, mainly in the outskirts, temperatures are expected to drop to -9C.
