Tennis: Simona Halep loses both matches at Mutua Charity Manolo Santana event

Romanian tennis player Simona Halep, 1st WTA, lost both matches played at the charity event Mutua Charity Manolo Santana, held Thursday evening in Madrid’s Caja Magica arena.

Halep was defeated 2-0 by Kristina Mladenovic (France) and then lost to doubles match 1-2, in pair with Argentinean Juan Martin Del Potro, in front of the pair Feliciano Lopez/Victoria Azarenka.

Team Feli (Feliciano Lopez, Victoria Azarenka, Richard Gasquet, Kristina Mladenovic) won 6-3 the match against Team Halep (Simona Halep, Juan Martín del Potro, Carla Suarez Navarro, Jack Sock) in front of about 7,000 spectators.

Mutua Charity Manolo Santana is a charity tournament attended by 4 women players and 4 men players in two mixed teams. Two singles matches will be played between the women players and two for men players, two mixed doubles matches. The matches are of maximum two sets and tie-break if the result ends in a tie.
