In the context of the recent launch for public consultations of the first two pieces of legislation part of the public procurement legislative framework reform on July 22, 2015, AmCham Romania calls for the organization of a proper consultation process, a release informs.
While AmCham acknowledges the efforts of the Romanian Government team to transpose the new European Directive into the national legislation, given the complexity and importance of the proposed topics, and in view of collecting relevant feedback and well grounded recommendations we consider that a consultation period of at least 30 days is needed for reaching a real, consistent and efficient consultation process.
AmCham Romania will continue to provide its members’ feedback on the proposed legislation and advocate for making the public procurement system reform a leading priority in view of increased economic growth, a sustainable increase of the EU funds absorption and accelerated investments in priority projects, the release informs.
