Another 30 individuals with large wealth, verified by ANAF since November

The National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) has began in November the verification of another 30 individuals in the selected group of 336 taxpayers with large net wealth of over EUR 20 million, after completing checks for the first 10 people, who had undeclared income of about RON 87 million.
“The results for the first ten people with large wealth checked created the premises in November 2015 to start another 30 new checks of natural persons owning large wealth, by indirect methods. (…) This type of verification is not convenient for people holding money or goods from undue revenues, but honest taxpayers have no problem with indirect methods of verification,” said on Wednesday Eugen Serban, Director General of the Department for Control of Revenues for Natural Persons with ANAF, during a PwC conference on voluntary compliance .
ANAF has found in November RON 86.9 million undeclared money for 2011 at the first ten individuals with large wealth, a press release from the institution informs. The Group of Individuals with Large Wealth (PFAM) consists of 336 people, analyzed and checked for fiscal risks and being applied compliance programmes. The ten individuals with large wealth are to pay further taxes of some RON 13 million.
In 2015 they the fiscal verifications for the first 10 people of the PFAM group were completed (out of 336 people).
Of the total undeclared income of RON 86,948,321, the amount of RON 23,771,463 is with unidentified source. Additional income tax was set – RON 3,803,434 and tax liabilities (fees for late payment and interest) – RON 2,437,706.
