Apple to open own company in Romania
The US technology giant Apple, which in early August became the first American company to reach a capitalization value of a trillion dollars, has founded Apple Sales Romania SRL in August.
The newly established company is controlled directly through the subsidiary in Ireland, the center of European affairs for Apple, ‘Ziarul Financiar’ informs. Thus, the US giant will be directly involved in the war on the local market with rivals such as Samsung, Huawei, Lenovo and HP.
Apple earns 25% of what Romanians spend in one year on phones and 6% of all computers, with sales being made through authorized distributors. More specifically, Americans sell over 300,000 iPhones per year in Romania.
Less known is that Apple has chosen its location. The American giant will operate in the 26-storey tower developed by Ioannis Papalekas at the intersection of Barbu Vacarescu Blvd. with Pipera Avenue. Apple will share the ‘Globalworth Tower’ with companies like Anritsu, Bunge, Ferrero, Huawei, Inditext, Mega Image, Nestle, NNDKP, Prime Kapital, Vodafone or Wipro, capital.ro informs.
