Bucharest Stock Exchange opens 1.7 pc lower after the decline on Monday of over 6 pc

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) has opened the transactions on Tuesday with a minus of 1.7%, following the Monday decrease of 6.3%, on the background of strong corrections of the European markets caused by investors’ expectations regarding a slowdown of China’s economy.
BET and BET Plus indexes were down 1.7% after the first transactions of the day. The BET index includes the most liquid ten shares and BET Plus the most liquid 34 bonds on the regulated market, except for SIFs and for the shares of foreign companies.
The shares of large companies listed on BVB continued to decline on Tuesday with a minus of 3.5% for the titles of Fondul Proprietatea (FP) and of 3.4% for Electrica (EL). Falling were also the shares after the first transaction for Transgaz (TGN) and BRD – Societe Generale (BRD) by 2.9% and for Banca Transilvania (TLV) by 2.8%.
The OMV Petrom (SNP) shares, among the titles with the greatest falls on Monday, continued to fall on Tuesday too, but by only 1.2%.
