Cattle and swine breeders to benefit of EUR 11m financial support

Romanian cattle and swine breeders will receive financial support totalling more than EUR 11 million to compensate part of the losses caused by the embargo imposed by Russia, by China’s economic slowdown and by the elimination of milk quotas in the EU.

The government adopted on Wednesday a decision which states that financial aid for milk and dairy products is to be granted in the equivalent in RON of EUR 8,773,154 and for the swine breeders the equivalent in RON of EUR 2,372,804, the government press office informs.
