Industry sources say CEZ Group, operating in the energy field, intends to sell its business in Romania, including distribution and supply, mainly in Oltenia region and the energy production assets located in Dobrogea region.
The Romanian authorities have already been informed regarding the Czech company’s vision, with a group official expected to arrive in Bucharest on Thursday to discuss the details, B1 TV private broadcaster informs.
CEZ decided last year to leave the Bulgarian market as well, an process which is ongoing.
The CEZ Group owns nine companies in Romania: Distribuție Energie Oltenia, CEZ Romania, CEZ Vânzare, CEZ Trade, CEZ ESCO Romania, Tomis Team, MW Invest, Ovidiu Development and TMK Hydroenergy Power.
The company is 70% owned by the Czech state.
