Tarom’s Board of Directors has decided on Monday night the revocation of Christian Heinzmann from the offices of Director General and Accountable Manager of the company and the appointment of Gabriel Stroe, former CFO, as interim head in both positions, aeronews.ro informs.
The Tarom Board of Directors was convened on Monday evening at 21.00h.
Florin Susanu, Director of flight operations and pilot-instructor was appointed interim deputy CEO.
Christian Heinzmann and Tiberiu Ţiclea (managing director) were dismissed by the board, which lasted two and a half hours.
The Minister of Transport’s Control Body’ report on irregularities found at Tarom was released on Monday.
Considered the main one responsible for the current financial situation, Tarom General Manager Christian Heinzmann, has refused to attend the board meeting Monday night.
Christian Heinzmann, who is a Belgian citizen, took the office with Tarom on November 19, 2012, on a four-year contract.
