GDP up by 3.8 pc in real terms in 2015

The gross domestic product (GDP) of Romania increased in 2015 by 3.8% in real terms as compared with the previous year, according to data released by the National Statistics Institute (INS) on Friday.

According to statistics, during the same period, the GDP, as gross series, amounted to RON 712.832 billion in current prices, in real terms.

The seasonally adjusted series of the quarterly gross GDP was recalculated as a result of revised estimates for 2015, no significant changes are noticed against the previous version published in March 2016, the INS states.

The gross domestic product for Q1 2016 will be published on May 13, 2016.

The National Prognosis Commission (CNP) revised its gross domestic product growth projection to 4.2% for this year and the 2015 estimate to 3.7%, according to the Winter Prognosis 2016.
