The gram of gold has reached a new high of the past 31 months on Tuesday, being set at RON 179.3925, up from RON 178.1720 on Monday, according to the figures from the National Bank of Romania (BNR).
The new level is the highest since July 2016 so far – on July 6, 2016 a higher level was registered of RON 180.3165.
This is the third consecutive day with a new high of the past 31 months for gold. The value of gold remains at over RON 170 since January 16 and is on the increase since mid-December.
The EUR/RON exchange rate has increased by 0.17% on Tuesday, to RON 4.7480 and the USD/RON exchange rate has decreased by 0.31% to the value of RON 4.1981.
In addition, the exchange rate of the Swiss franc was set at RON 4.1805, up from RON 4.11713 on Monday.
