The Government has approved a Memorandum recommending a 15% decrease in outstanding payments of those scheduled at end-2015 for the state operators.
“There are some imperative recommendations in the Memorandum arguing that the decrease of outstanding payments, arrears, must be a key objective in achieving the budgets of the respective companies. We have a reduction target of 15% in outstanding payments from those scheduled at the end of 2015. The way through which this percentage can be calculated is cumulative for all companies subordinated to a ministry. It means one of the companies may have a reduction in arrears of more than 15%, another may have a smaller reduction, but the average per ministry or administrative unit that manages the respective company must be of 15%,” the Gov’t spokesman Dan Suciu said on Wednesday.
In the next period of time a “list of measures to attain those results is expected from the companies subordinated to ministries, that should take into account the Memorandum approved by the Government.”
As for the list of companies that have the greatest losses, Suciu said there are 14 on the list.
