Incentives eyed for Romanians in the UK returning home to open up businesses

The Romanian state would provide half of the required amount to entrepreneurs opening a business, as of this autumn. Labour Minister Dragos Pîslaru says the measure is considered in the context of the uncertain situation in the UK, but Romanians who worked in other states would also benefit. The benefit package could be ready to fall, digi.24.ro reports.

Dragos Pîslaru, Minister of Labour: “We envisage incentives that allow a 50-50 formula, meaning that I want to make an investment in Romania, being settled in the UK and not only (we focus on the UK because there Romanians face uncertainty there). If you want to return home and make an investment, the state would give some kind of state aid to support by 50% the investment the Romanians want to make.”
