German companies Leoni and Dräxlmaier continue investments in production of auto parts in Romania and are recruiting new employees in order to meet the orders from auto plants in Western Europe.
Cable manufacturer for the automotive industry Leoni Wiring Systems Ro in Bistrita is currently recruiting 300 unskilled workers with secondary education, for assembly and parts fitting, realitatea.net informs, quoting zf.ro.
Leoni has reached approximately 17,000 employees in three factories in Romania and continues to hire, according to previous information provided by the company. Leoni employees in Romania represent 22% of the group’s global workforce.
Dräxlmaier holds five production units in Satu Mare, Timisoara, Pitesti, Codlea (Braşov County) and Hunedoara with about 15,000 employees.
“The premium car market is on an uptrend and the Dräxlmaier Group, supplier of automotive components for the luxury segment, takes advantage of this momentum and will continue to invest in the region. Most group employees are in Romania, so we will continue the recruitment campaigns, depending on the demands from customers,” the car maker officials in Romania said, according to ZF.ro.
