The national currency has registered a new negative record, given the current political crisis and the developments after the resignation of PM Mihai Tudose and the unknown results of the latest fiscal decisions.
The National Bank of Romania (BNR) has announced on Tuesday an exchange rate of RON 4.6679 per EUR, by 0.05% below the previous level on Monday.
The RON has also depreciated against the American currency, down to 3.8116 units per USD, by 0.15% lower against Monday, whereas the GBP appreciated to RON 5.3186 units, against RON 5.2916 in the previous session.
On the other hand, RON has appreciated against the Swiss franc up to RON 3.9611 per CHF, against RON 3.9621 on Monday.
The price of gold grew to RON 163.7611 per gram, up from RON 163.1592 a day before.
