Total household spending accounted for 85.7% of the revenues in Q2 this year, up from 84% in the same period last year, according to the figures submitted on Friday by the National Statistics Institute (INS).
The total monthly average revenues in the second quarter of 2018 in nominal terms was of RON 4,151 per household, an increase of 24.7% against the same period last year (RON 822) and RON 1,589 per person, an increase of 25.7% (RON 325).
The overall expenditures of the population were, on average, in Q2 2018 of RON 3,558 per household, an increase of 27.2% (RON 761) and of RON 1,362 per capita, an increase of 28.2% (RON 300).
A person in the urban areas earned RON 1,941.41 in Q2 year, a 28% increase against the same period last year, and in the rural areas RON 1,178.92, an increase of 21.4% as compared to the same period last year.
At the same time, in urban areas a person spent RON 1,657.43, an increase of 32.4%, while one in the rural area spent RON 1,018.24, an increase of 21%.
The wages and other associated earnings represented the most important source of revenues, accounting for 67.5% of total household incomes, up from 61.2% in the same period last year.
