Planes taking off on Friday between 13.00h and 15.00h, could be delayed for up to two hours as the employees of Globe Ground Romania company, which provides aircraft ground handling services and aircraft towing on Henri Coanda (Otopeni) Airport, have announced to enter a warning strike, being unhappy with the wages, the working hours, and the sizing of the staff, as well as the standardization activity in relation to the volume and working conditions.
According to Alexandru Cioc, the leader of the Free Trade Union of Aeronautic Handling, the most pressing problem is the sizing of staff and the standardization activity in relation to the volume and conditions of personnel, given that in the past two years, between 100 and 150 employees of the company have resigned, and the workload has remained the same, perhaps even increased.
The second complaint concerns the working hours, the employees no longer have, according to union leader, time for recovery or for family activities.
