Tugrul Tekbulut, Co-founder and Chairman Logo, the company who bought local ERP provider TotalSoft a year ago, announced that he plans to hire people in Romania in the coming period.
”I see Romania as the EU’s IT capital, where you have access to a large number of qualified employees. (…) I believe every employee is an asset. It is very difficult to find well trained people. If you have professional people, you have to keep them,” Turkish Tekbulut stated, quoted by digi24.ro.
In this context, he said he would not lay off the Romanian employees of TotalSoft. Moreover, he seeks to employ another 70 people in the coming period, currently, the software company having more than 470 employees in its headquarters in Bucharest.
Regarding the acquisition of the Romanian company, Tugrul Tekbulut said he also looked at other companies in the region, but he had nothing to choose from.
”Logo and TotalSoft is an experiment for us because it is the first time we build a transnational project. We have a very Romanian company, a very Turkish company, and we need to build a transnational project that will take some time,” Logo Chairman said.
According to him, the merger between the two companies will be completed in 2018.
In 2016, Logo Software Investment, subsidiary of Logo Yazılım Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., one of the largest software companies in Turkey, acquired the Romania’s TotalSoft shares for EUR 30 million and an equity value of EUR 30.25 million.
