Israeli tourists set eyes on Băile Felix spa

Meshek Wings Israeli tour operator informed the launching of Tel Aviv-Oradea charter flights to be operated by Blue Air. Thus, 2,000 Israeli tourists are expected to spend their vacations at Băile Felix spa and in Oradea. The flights will start operating this summer, on a weekly basis.

The project was initiated by Meidan Butnaru, a Romanian-born Israeli businessman, the commercial manager of Meshek Wings. By this position, he has brought over 100,000 Israeli tourists in Romania so far.

According to Butnaru, this year, those 2,000 tourists are expected in Oradea to generate EUR 1.8m, considering the flights, accommodation and the tourists’ personal expenses.

The tourists will find accommodation in Băile Felix spa and in Orade city, with the tourist packages being intended for adults and families. The main attractions will be the aqua parks, thermal waters, Oradea’s restored historical center and Apuseni Mountains National Park.

The Israeli tour operator launched charter flights to Constanța and Bucharest in 2014. This year, 5,000 tourists from Israel are estimated to spend their summer vacation in Mamaia, while 25,000 Israeli tourists are expected to visit the Capital city during the whole year.

Meidan Butnaru was born in a Romanian Jewish family in Bacău, whose members eventually left for Israel in the 60s. He has been working in tourism for more than 13 years, being the commercial manager of Meshek Wings Tours Ltd at present. The tour operator is part of Tacam concern running a business of over EUR 1 bln per year.
