One of the largest spa resorts in Romania to be revamped following EUR 3.2 M investment
One of the largest spa resorts in Romania will be rehabilitated with European funds, more precisely EUR 3.2 million.
Baile Felix resort, located in Sânmartin village, Oradea county, northwestern Romania, is the largest permanent resort in our country.
The city hall of Sânmartin village announced that rehabilitation works will start next month and will turn the resort to a huge building yard all through the year.
The revamping works will include the modernization of the main avenue of the resort and of other streets, construction of bike paths and setting up green areas.
It will be the largest rehabilitation process of Baile Felix in the past 30 years, as, during this time, the only investments in the resort have been private: hotels and pools.
The completion deadline is 2020, but the local authorities hope that works are concluded this year, so that the tourist season should not be affected next year as well.
According to a ranking by the Romanian Balneology Association, Baile Felix is the second most important spa resort in Romania, after Techirghiol (on the Black Sea shore).
