One-year campaign wants to convince tourists that Romania is the best holiday destination
On International Tourism Day, Up Romania announces the launch of the “Romania is really beautiful” campaign, aimed at promoting Romania’s natural beauty and convincing tourists to prioritize vacation destinations on the territory of our country.
The new campaign will last for a year and will have as its ambassador the well-known photographer Sorin Onișor, who over the last 12 years has traveled through all the geographical regions of Romania, capturing through the lens of the camera wonderful landscapes, picturesque villages, traditions and old customs and people of the places. He will join Up Romania’s efforts to support the development of domestic tourism by promoting these images and actively participating in the running of the campaign.
Up Romania will exhibit and promote in the online environment, through marketing and communication actions, photos from regions of Romania: Maramureș, Bucovina, Transilvania, Banat and Dobrogea, taken by Sorin Onișor. At the same time, the campaign will involve Up Romania employees and the community of beneficiaries of the company’s products.
“We believe in the potential that Romania has when it comes to places to visit and we want to put a brick in the promotion of Romanian tourism by showing the online communities, customers, affiliates and beneficiaries of Up, that our country deserves to be included in the plans of holidays of as many Romanians and international tourists as possible. It’s a manifesto campaign, designed to make us aware of how beautiful Romania is and how much it deserves to be discovered by all of us,” said Loredana Vătăvoiu, Up Romania Marketing Director.
The photographer Sorin Onișor, through his work, is an ambassador of Romania, who represented the country’s brand at openings organized internationally in Europe, Asia and the USA. He traveled the country, from the scattered mountain villages, to the hilly, mountain regions and the settlements of the Danube Delta, capturing in his photographs the magic of Romanian traditions and touristic places to put on the wish list.
“I’m glad to see companies that get involved in promoting the beautiful places in Romania and in encouraging Romanians to explore the multitude of gorgeous places that are worth visiting. Also, as an avid <hunter> of new places in Romania, I am honored by this collaboration and I hope that together with Up, we will encourage as many people as possible to discover that Romania really is beautiful”, declared Sorin Onișor.
The campaign “Romania is really beautiful” is carried forward through the extra-salary benefit the Up Vacanță card, through which the beneficiaries have at their disposal a network from all the tourist regions of Romania, which includes several thousand units and accredited travel agencies. The card can be used to pay for transport, accommodation, meals, treatments and leisure services of your choice. Beneficiaries can purchase products and services offered by travel agencies, hotels, guesthouses and spa treatment units in Romania.
