Romania will be presented as a travel destination at this year’s Ferien Messe International Tourism Fair, which will take place during January 12-15, in Vienna, the Tourism Ministry informs.

27 exhibitors, namely incoming agencies, travel destinations and travel service providers will represent the beauties of Romania.

Maramures is the partner region of Romania’s stand with its travel offer, craftsmen, dances and authentic traditional music. TAROM, the national flag carrier, will be present among the exhibitors.

As a first, a company specialized in equestrian tourism will also present its offer at Romania’s stand in Vienna. The spa tourism will be represented by Baile Felix resort. Sibiu, Cluj, Timisoara and Oradea will be among Romanian travel destinations represented at the fair, alongside Maramures. Off-road and eco-tourism offers won’t be missing from the stand, both of them being on demand on the profile market in Austria.

In order to draw attention of the motorcycle fans and to show that Romania is a welcoming country for this type of tourism, this year also, at the Ferien Messe Fair stand a Harley Davidson motorcycle will be displayed, which will be framed by images of Austrian tourists cruising on their motorcycle on Transalpina road.

Almost 60,000 Austrian tourists have visited Romania in 2016, according to National Institute of Statistics (INS) data.
