Which are the Romanians’ most sought-after travel destinations in 2020?

Antalya remains the “starlet” of the 2020 tourist season, next to the newcomers Egypt and Tunisia, with departures from most airports in Romania. Paralela 45 travel agency has kicked off the Early Booking programme for the next year, with discounts up to 40% and new flights to Turkey.

The tour-operator estimates it will close 2019 with a volume of sales mounting to EUR 70 million, more by 20% as against last year.

The offer for the summer 2020 comprises 30 weekly charter flights to Turkey (Antalya, Alanya and Bodrum) and Greece (Crete, Rhodes, Santorini, Zakynthos) from 11 Romanian cities during May/June-end of September next year.

As a first after 1990, Paralela 45 will operate a charter from Constanta to Antalya as of 2020. The other flights to Antalya are scheduled from Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Arad, Timişoara, Oradea, Baia Mare, Târgu Mureş, Suceava, Iași, Bacău.

More than 25,000 tourists are expected to spend their summer vacation in Antalya next year, more by 15% as against 2019, for prices starting from EUR 450/person, during Early Booking.

Antalya seems to be, again, the starlet of the summer, for the third year in a row. Early booking discounts up to 40% have already sold the first holidays for the summer next year,” said Alin Burcea, CEO Paralela 45.

Two charters to Bodrum  (Bodrum, Kusadasi, Marmaris) are scheduled next year from Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca. Early booking offers start from EUR 470/person.

Charters will be available to Greece from Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Iasi. For instance, a tourist package to Heraklion, Crete starts from EUR 352/person from Bucharest, EUR 374-Cluj-Napoca and EUR 403-Iasi.

The tour-operator is introducing a new flight from Sibiu to Hurghada, Egypt during the winter holidays. Costs for Hurghada or Sharm el Sheikh start from EUR 464/person and can reach EUR 521/person.

Starting this autumn, new offers for exotic destinations will be available, such as Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Bali and Oman. An exotic vacations tarts from EUR 1,200/person.

Dubai, desired for the shopping opportunities, theme parks or New Year’s Eve parties, is available at prices starting from EUR 584/person.

December is the month of the charter taking tourists to Lapland, in order to meet Santa Claus and his wife, to visit Santa Park or embark on a husky safari. It is the fourth year in a a row that Paralela 45 is launching the charter to the Santa Claus’s land. A five-day stay, operated by Tarom, accommodation in a 4-star hotel, transfers and airport taxes starts from EUR 1,990/adult and EUR 1,661/child.
