Wizz Air launches new route from Timisoara to Tel Aviv
Hungary-based Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe launched a new route from Timisoara to sunny Tel Aviv, Israel, as of October 30 with two weekly frequencies, on Mondays and Fridays, a press release informs.
Wizz passengers can already book their tickets on wizzair.com from just RON 179.
“Proving its dedication and commitment to the Romanian passengers for the past ten years, Wizz is always looking to bring even more low-fare opportunities that can best meet its customers’ needs, and the popular sunny destination of Tel Aviv becomes available from five Romanian airports, including Cluj-Napoca and Iasi. Starting from 17 June the low-fare connection from Bucharest to Tel Aviv will have 6 weekly frequencies a week, and from 18 September the service is becoming daily, while on 19 June the service from Craiova to Tel Aviv will be launched,” the release reads.
Starting today, Timisoara travelers and their visitors can enjoy any of the 16 destinations to 8 countries available on Wizz low-fare network, including the popular destinations Brussels Charleroi, Madrid, Eindhoven and Munich Memmingen.
Wizz is offering tickets from as low as RON 19, underlining its commitment to democratize air travel in Romania and further stimulate tourism and business relations between countries.
Wizz Air, as the hometown airline of Timisoara, had over 3.5 million passengers since the beginning of its operations at Traian Vuia International Airport in 2008. This year, Wizz celebrated eight years of its base in Timisoara, which has two modern Airbus A320, an investment of USD196 million, and a local staff of 69 aviation professionals working for the airline.
Last year, over 665,000 passengers to and from Timisoara have enjoyed Wizz’s low fares, easy booking system, supporting almost 500 local on-site jobs in aviation and tourism industry.
