Zsolt Torjai Takes Over Leadership at Hampton by Hilton Târgu Mureș

Zsolt István Torjai, a seasoned professional with a strong career in the hospitality industry and over a decade of collaboration with the Hampton by Hilton brand, has been appointed as the General Manager of Hampton by Hilton Târgu Mureș. His objective is to establish the Târgu Mureș hotel as a regional benchmark for business tourism and events.

Zsolt István Torjai was honored by the Hilton Group with the “Customer Promise & Stay Experience Champion of the Year” award for the EMEA region. This prestigious recognition is granted only to hotels that consistently deliver memorable guest experiences in a safe, welcoming, and impeccably managed environment.

This award highlights both the outstanding performance of the team led by Torjai and the organizational culture he has fostered—one based on excellence, attention to detail, and a strong people-oriented approach.

€11 Million Investment Raising Hospitality Standards in Târgu Mureș

Opened in the summer of 2023, Hampton by Hilton Târgu Mureș is the result of an €11 million investment by Multinvest Group, with the support of the Pro Economica Foundation, which co-financed 35% of the project. The hotel features 115 modern rooms, a multifunctional conference hall, a restaurant, a bar, underground parking, and facilities catering to both business travelers and leisure visitors.

The six-story building, with a 5,000 sqm usable area, was constructed using advanced technologies and sustainable materials, adhering to Hilton’s global standards.

In his new role, Zsolt Torjai has set an ambitious strategic direction: transforming Hampton by Hilton Târgu Mureș into the leading conference center in Central-Western Romania. With a capacity of up to 180 participants and flexible, customizable event packages, the hotel aims to become the top destination for corporate events, international conferences, workshops, and business meetings.
