Burn Centres are to be opened in Iasi and Timisoara, most probably in May, after the the second public tender to buy the necessary medical equipment ends, Health Minister Sorina Pintea told a press conference in Timisoara on Wednesday.
“It’s a topic that Romania is currently lacking, the hospital beds for the burnt patients. The equipment of the Burn Centre is financed by the World Bank. The WB programme has been implemented since 2012. Two public tenders have been held so far, the first one to buy 34 devices, has been concluded and the equipment has been delivered. As for the second auction, bids have kicked off on December 17, 2018 and they will be evaluated at the end of February, so the delivery is in maximum three months,” the minister said.
