UEFA Nations League: Romania defeats Lithuania 2-1 away in extra time

Romania’s national football team defeated Lithuania Thursday evening 2-1 (1-0) in Vilnius, in a match counting for Group C of the UEFA Nations League.

The victory was achieved in extra time by a goal scored by Alexandru Maxim (90th min. + 4). The previous goals were scored by Alexandru Chipciu (13th min) and Arturas Zulpa (89th min) respectively.

It is Romania’s first win the Group C, after the matches against Montenegro (0-0) and Serbia (2-2).

The next match is against Serbia, in Bucharest, a decisive match for winning the group.

Attendance: 20,000.
