The representatives of the company that projected messages and lights on a building in Victoriei Square during anti-government protests is summoned to the Police to explain the projections following an alleged complaint. The district 1 mayor of Bucharest Daniel Tudorache says that the Local Police had to contact the company following a citizen’s complaint and that there will no fine against the company unless the representative called for hearing goes to the Police HQs.

“A citizen filed a complaint, I understand he lives in the block of flats where the messages were screened. The Police had to go on the scene to contact the company that projected the messages. There will be no fine. I hope he will come to hearings, for he has nothing to hide. We only have to respond the complaint, according to the law (…) if not we could go under abuse of office, and you know very well that has been a lot of talk on abuse of office in the past days,” the SocDem district 1 mayor Bogdan Tudorache said.

He added that in case the owner of the laser is not going to the police he risks being fined.

However, the laser projections have been made also on the BRD Groupe Societe Generale building in Victoriei Square.

The bank even wrote to the young man whose company screened the laser messages, saying they have nothing to do with the subpoena.

“We have nothing to do with the subpoena against you. If you need any other information that might help you, please write to us in private,” BRD posted on Facebook.
