Judicial sources have said Friday morning that three persons have been remanded by the Directorate for Combating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT), charged with high risk drugs trafficking. The sources added that the three are not public persons.
Fashon designer, Razvan Ciobanu wrote on his Facebook page, referring to the hearings at DIICOT Ploiesti on Thursday, that he is suspect of holding high risk drugs for own consumption and mentions he is charged with taking the drugs from people he has never seen.
“I want to put things straight: I am unlawfully suspect of holding high risk drugs for my own consumption. Allegedly I took the drugs from some people I have never met, with who I have never talked to and whom I have never met in my life. This is all I have to say, I will exert my right to defend. I am the kind of man who learns from the mistakes in the past,” Razvan Ciobanu wrote.
Further hearings will take place in the file, after the searches conducted on Thursday in Bucharest and Ploiesti.
The names of several Romanian celebrities, among whom fashion designers Răzvan Ciobanu and Raluca Bădulescu, but also former television man and influencer Oreste Teodorescu, showed up in a drug trafficking file on Thursday, as witnesses. Sources told local media that hearings were taking place at DIICOT Ploiesti in this case, while searches were being conducted in Prahova and Bucharest on Thursday.
Răzvan Ciobanu and Raluca Bădulescu have been seen on the stairs of DIICOT Ploiesti headquarters, but they refused to make any statements.
The sources said the celebrities were heard as witnesses and their places have not been searched.
After finding out his name appears in such a file, Oreste Teodorescu told journalists he is on holiday, in the Danube Delta.
“I am at Sfantu Gheorghe, I know nothing,” he told Libertatea daily. Several minutes after, Teodorescu also posted on Facebook two photos from the seaside, featuring him, tanned and relaxed, and behind him some cows bathing in the sea.
