Vodafone Romania launches Open Days series of events dedicated to universities
Vodafone Romania is organizing on Friday, December 15, the first Open Days event dedicated to universities, which will be attended by 30 students from the Faculty of Accounting and Management Informatics within the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. The attendants will meet company representatives from various units and will learn, amongst others, what means and what are the requirements of a recruiting process for Vodafone Romania, how they can benefit from Discover Programme, which supports accelerated professional development for youngsters with potential, and how to become Management Trainee within various company units.
The event is part of the series of initiatives launched within the partnership between Vodafone Romania and Bucharest University of Economic Studies, which started with the recent inauguration of the new IT lab in the university’s Virgil Madgearu building. The lab, with a capacity of 27 seats, has been completely renovated and modernized through Vodafone Romania’s contribution, for adapting the space to the students’ current training needs.
Also, part of the collaboration with Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Vodafone Romania launched Marketing Academy programme, consisting of trainings held by the telecom operator’s professionals for students interested in a future career in marketing or connected fields. The first session was organized at the end of November 2017.
“Our approach is to build a working environment in which Vodafone Romania employees benefit from more than just a job, namely the opportunity to a solid career, which allows them to develop themselves, to continuously learn and grow together with the company. In this regard, we come close to the youngsters who are at the beginning of their professional path and need to discover what it means to work with one of the most desired and respected employers in the country,” Florin Petrescu, HR Director Vodafone Romania, stated.
The partnership with Bucharest Academy of Economics is part of Vodafone Romania’s initiative which aims to support the academic environment in Romania and the students’ practical training process.
